A minor incident involving a vintage Antonov AN-2 at Luxembourg's Findel airport has escalated into a major debate about the future of general aviation. On June 21, the 1968 aircraft sustained damage during a failed landing, spinning to a halt at the runway edge. All 12 occupants escaped unharmed, and the runway was operational within three hours. However, the disruption affected 44 flights and over 3,500 passengers, costing more than €200,000, according to Luxair CEO Gilles Feith.
