At least eighteen people, including women, men, and children, were killed and many others injured during drone bombings carried out by the M23 and its allies in the village of Mulima, located in Fizi territory, South Kivu, on the morning of Friday, July 3. The administrator of the territory, Samy Badibanga, reported livestock losses, the destruction of health and school infrastructure, and students whose schools were annihilated in several surrounding villages. Massive population movements towards neighboring centers are observed without adequate protection. Authorities strongly condemn these violations attributed to Rwandan aircraft, consequences of intense fighting between the FARDC and rebels since the previous Thursday.
