On Monday, February 23, 2026, the Château de Fougères in Fougères will host a family-friendly historical reenactment event titled "Aux armes ! : aventure en famille." This interactive experience allows participants to choose sides between the French and Breton banners, reliving the historical moment in 1230 when Raoul III, the lord of Fougères, paid homage to King Saint-Louis, placing the castle under French control. The Duke of Brittany, Pierre de Dreux, sought to reclaim the fortress. The animation is offered at two daily sessions, 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM, with reservations required.
