Azerbaijan is set to amend its procedure for issuing insurance payments related to workplace accidents and occupational diseases. A draft law amending the "Law on compulsory insurance against loss of professional ability to work as a result of accidents in production and occupational diseases" was discussed by the Parliament's Labor and Social Policy Committee in a videoconference format. The key change involves shifting the basis for lump-sum insurance payments from the determination of the insured's disability to the degree of loss of professional ability to work.
