The Central Bank of Azerbaijan, through its chairman Taleh Kazimov, has released economic growth projections for 2026 and 2027. For 2026, the bank anticipates a modest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of 1.1%, with a stronger emphasis on the non-oil and gas sector, which is expected to grow by 3.2%. Moving into 2027, the overall GDP growth forecast remains at 1.1%, but the non-oil and gas sector is projected to see a more significant expansion of 4.7%. These forecasts are based on anticipated trends within both the energy and diversified non-energy economic segments of Azerbaijan.
