On July 3, a high-level Azerbaijani delegation, spearheaded by Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova, journeyed to Tehran, Iran, to participate in the farewell ceremony for Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Arriving at Mehrabad International Airport, the delegation was received by Iranian officials including Deputy Speaker Ali Nikzad and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Iran, Ali Alizadeh. The ceremony took place at Tehran's Mosallah Complex. During the visit, Speaker Gafarova met with prominent Iranian figures such as President Masoud Pezeshkian and Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, extending condolences from President Ilham Aliyev and expressing the Azerbaijani people's profound grief. The delegation also comprised key figures like Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and officials from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
