In the first quarter of 2026, Azerbaijan's trade turnover with European Union countries reached $4.104 billion, marking a decrease of $1.2 billion or 22.3% compared to the same period in 2025. Exports to the EU fell by 23.5% to $3.540 billion, while imports declined by 13.6% to $564.023 million. The EU's share in Azerbaijan's total exports for this period was 65.53%, and their share in imports was 14.09%. This follows a trend from 2025, where trade turnover increased by 0.9% to $19.770 billion, with exports rising 0.8% to $16.9 billion and imports growing 1.6% to $2.826 billion. In 2025, EU countries accounted for 67.66% of Azerbaijan's total exports and 11.59% of its imports.
