In the first quarter of the current year, “AzerGold” CJSC, a prominent Azerbaijani state-owned exporter in the non-oil and gas sector, generated 102.4 million AZN for the national economy through the sale of 12,284 ounces of gold and 22,053 ounces of silver. Export operations contributed over 91.1 million AZN, marking a 26% increase from the previous year's same period, while local retail sales brought in more than 11.3 million AZN, a 102% surge. Cumulatively, “AzerGold” has sold 572.3 thousand ounces of gold and 1.1 million ounces of silver, injecting 2.04 billion AZN into the economy. The company also contributed 281 million AZN to the state budget, including 242 million AZN in taxes and 39 million AZN in social security payments, and has provided employment for 2,595 individuals in the Ganja-Dashkasan economic region.
