Deutsche Bahn is implementing extensive construction work at Frankfurt Central Station, necessitating the closure of platforms 15 and 16. This project involves replacing an old, brick track bridge structure with modern steel girders, located near the pedestrian underpass. Preparations for this significant upgrade began last summer, with the main construction scheduled to commence on February 27 and conclude by July 10. Despite the platform closures, train operations will continue on adjacent platforms 14 and 17, separated by construction fences. The Bahn utilized virtual planning for the execution of these works, building on previous renewals of platform and track bridges at tracks 12/13 in 2022.
