On July 7, 2026, on the 1,595th day of the war, the 36th NATO summit began in Ankara, where leaders of 32 countries are discussing Ukraine's security. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced the launch of the $40 billion Drone Edge initiative to combat drones. President Zelenskyy called on partners to develop a European anti-ballistic program, emphasizing the effectiveness of Ukraine's air defense. International support is increasing: Germany announced an additional €70 billion in aid, and Canada is preparing $900 million. Meanwhile, Ukraine struck Russian defense industry facilities and oil depots, specifically in the Bryansk region and Crimea. In Kyiv and other cities, 19 people died due to Russian attacks, and the destruction in Vyshneve was the most extensive of the war.
