'The Investigation Into Tania Flats Collapse Is Completed, Report Undergoing Internal Review': BCA Confirms 16.06.2026

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) has announced that the investigation into the collapse of the Tania Flats in Paceville is complete. Conducted by independent professionals Dr Robert Musumeci and Dr Adrian Mifsud, the final report is currently undergoing an internal review before findings are shared with concerned parties. The BCA clarified the timeline leading to the June 11, 2025, collapse, stating that while a Stop Works Order was issued following a report from architect Christopher Mintoff on June 10, the report lacked urgency. Residents were evacuated only after Mintoff filed a police report on June 11. Meanwhile, Mintoff, who raised structural concerns as early as 2020, expressed deep emotional distress and frustration over the lack of official resolution and published findings one year after the traumatic event.
