Bạch Mã National Park offers haven for rare species 05.07.2026

Located between the East Sea and the Trường Sơn Range, Bạch Mã National Park serves as a vital natural sanctuary in Việt Nam. Spanning nearly 37,500 hectares across nine communes in Huế City's Phú Lộc Ward and Quảng Nam’s Đông Giang Ward, the park features a unique transition zone between northern and southern climates. This diverse landscape includes tropical evergreen rainforests and high-elevation cloud forests, covering 16,900 hectares of primary forest. The park's stable climate, characterized by temperatures between 16-22 degrees Celsius and annual rainfall of 3.4-4m, supports immense biodiversity. It is home to 2,421 flora species and 1,728 fauna species, including critically endangered species like the red-shanked douc langur and the elusive Trường Sơn muntjac. This protected area offers significant eco-tourism potential due to its spectacular terrain and extraordinary biological variety.
