Bending Spoons, owner of AOL and Eventbrite, files for IPO 08.06.2026

Italian holding company Bending Spoons, which specializes in acquiring and revitalizing established tech brands, has filed for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the United States, potentially valuing the company at approximately $20 billion. This move signifies a re-entry into public markets for brands under its ownership, including AOL, Eventbrite, and Vimeo. Founded in 2013 and inspired by "The Matrix," Bending Spoons reported a significant 95% year-over-year revenue increase to $1.31 billion in 2025, with subscription services forming the bulk of its income. The company also reported $601 million in revenue for the first quarter of 2026. Major shareholders include Baillie Gifford, and Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Allen & Co. are managing the IPO.
