Bersama to contest Johor polls 03.06.2026

Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama), now led by former MPs Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad following their resignation from PKR and their parliamentary seats, has announced its intention to contest the upcoming Johor state election. This decision comes less than a month after Bersama's relaunch on May 17, presenting an opportunity to introduce the party to voters and establish its election machinery. The party aims to use the Johor polls as a stepping stone for future elections. Further discussions are scheduled with Bersama's Johor representatives to determine specific seats for contestation. Additionally, Bersama plans a nationwide tour commencing in Melaka on June 7, covering multiple states and Kuala Lumpur to promote its key agenda. The Johor assembly was dissolved on Monday, necessitating elections within 60 days.
