BirdLife Cyprus is organizing a blood donation drive on June 17 from 5pm to 7pm at its offices in Kato Deftera, Nicosia, to commemorate the late Martin Hellicar, their former director. Hellicar is remembered by the NGO for his excellence, empathy, and dedication to nature and humanity. The event, in partnership with the ministry of health’s blood centre, is open to individuals aged 17 to 65, with parental consent needed for 17-year-olds. Organizers aim to attract at least 30 donors and have provided an online registration form, also offering refreshments to participants.
