Bison Futé : une circulation "très difficile" sur les routes… À quoi s’attendre pour ce week-end de chassé-croisé ? 21.02.2026

Bison Futé forecasts "very difficult" traffic conditions across France this weekend, marking a significant chassé-croisé for winter holidays as all school zones are on vacation. Saturday, February 22nd, is anticipated to be the most challenging day, particularly in Eastern France and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, with heavy congestion expected on major routes like the A40, A43, A6, A31, and A39, as well as access points to ski resorts and the Mont-Blanc tunnel. Travelers heading out are advised to avoid specific sections of the A31 and the Mont-Blanc tunnel during peak hours. For those returning, similar difficulties are predicted in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, with recommendations to bypass certain stretches of the A43 and A40. Sunday, February 23rd, is projected to see traffic return to normal nationally, classified as green by Bison Futé.
