BJP slams Pakistan over PoJK rights violations 06.08.2026

The BJP on Thursday strongly condemned what it described as human rights violations by Pakistani authorities against protesters in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). Speaking at a press conference, Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesperson Ankur Sharma accused the Pakistan state and its army of using excessive force against peaceful demonstrators demanding civil and political rights. He characterized Pakistan as a "totalitarian state" that is rapidly weakening and failing as an ideological state, citing the creation of Bangladesh in 1971 as evidence of this failure.
