Bluecore Energy, a developer of small nuclear reactors mounted on barges, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $50 million in seed funding. This investment could enable the startup to begin ordering nuclear fuel, moving toward criticality and helping to power the Port of Long Beach. The funding round was led by Silverton Partners and includes $10 million in pre-seed funding led by Slauson & Co., with additional backing from celebrities Kevin Hart and Simu Liu.
