He expressed deep awareness of the public's reactions in Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban following his resignation and appealed for calm, patience, and the maintenance of law and order among all communities. Dewan cited inspiration from his father's service and his own political journey within the BNP, emphasizing his dedication to the party and its ideology. He affirmed that BNP is his political home and that he will work under the leadership of Tarique Rahman to build a "new Bangladesh," reiterating that the BNP is his "last resort."
