BoC target raised by P7 billion following latest DBCC meeting 03.06.2026

The Bureau of Customs (BoC) has seen its revenue target increased by approximately P7 billion following the recent Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) meeting, which factored in collection efficiencies and inflation. This new target, yet to be officially released, brings the total to over P1 trillion, building upon the previous P1.003 trillion goal. BoC Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno stated that the agency is currently P11.3 billion ahead of its target for the first five months of the year, attributing this surplus to enhanced collection mechanisms, strict assessments, and counter-checking of declarations. The bureau plans to launch the first phase of its Customs Processing System next year, aiming to further improve its operations.
