Bogura-6 by-polls: BNP's Rezaul Karim Badsha wins with 133,931 votes 09.04.2026

BNP candidate Rezaul Karim Badsha has secured victory in the Bogura-6 by-election, according to unofficial results from 151 centers. Badsha, who is also the Bogura district BNP president and former mayor of Bogura municipality, garnered 133,931 votes. Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman, the ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Bogura town, received 57,159 votes, while Bangladesh Development Party’s Md Al-Amin obtained 526 votes. The by-election, which saw a 42.57 percent voter turnout, was necessitated after Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman, who had won both Dhaka-17 and Bogura-6 in the 13th National Parliamentary election on February 12, vacated the Bogura-6 seat.
