Coventry City striker Brandon Thomas-Asante has been assigned Ghana's prestigious number 10 jersey for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, a number historically worn by the nation's football legends and most recently by Andre Ayew in 2022. Augustine Boakye will wear number 20, previously held by the injured Mohammed Kudus, while Antoine Semenyo keeps his number 11. Abdul Mumin returns to the squad with number 6 after recovering from an ACL injury, and teenager Caleb Yirenkyi has been given number 3. Derrick Luckassen, a late call-up, will wear number 23. Ghana's tournament begins on June 17 against Panama in Toronto, followed by matches against England in Boston on June 23 and Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
