Op de brandweerkazerne in Almere Poort volgt ploeg C de WK-wedstrijd Nederland tegen Zweden tijdens hun 24-uursdienst. De avond ervoor heeft het flink gestormd, waardoor de mannen al acht keer moesten uitrukken sinds de dienst begon. Bevelvoerder Jarno van Plateringen somt de meldingen op: een autobrand op de A6 en veel stormschade. Ondanks de vermoeidheid is de sfeer goed; de woonkamer is oranje versierd en er worden frituursnacks gehaald.
