Discovery, deciding not to further investigate the deal after receiving assurances from the company regarding media diversity. The CMA stated that the merger does not raise competition concerns in the UK, as Paramount will continue to face sufficient competition in its various operational areas. The UK's culture department confirmed that Paramount provided several legally binding assurances, including maintaining "distinct editorial identities of key services and the editorial independence of news."
