Building from the Očistec case was for sale for 1.5 million euros. Transpetrol halted the deal. 07.07.2026

Transpetrol's building on Odbojárov Street in Bratislava, which is the subject of a legal dispute, was offered in an electronic auction in June 2022 for 1.5 million euros. Although a potential buyer who brought architects had already succeeded in June 2022, a subsequent change in management at Transpetrol caused the sale to be halted. The new management is said to have connections to the Bödör family, which has sparked controversy. This unused six-story building is known for its meeting room, where actors in the Očistec corruption case met between 2014 and 2018. According to the investigation, political leaders met with Bödör in exchange for bribes to block investigations. The building has long been a surplus asset for the company, and its sale is complicated by an insufficient number of parking spaces and a problematic situation in the surrounding area. A legal dispute regarding the failed deal is currently underway.
