The 24-year-old expressed that this honor is a childhood dream fulfilled, stating it's a "full circle moment" as he grew up playing the game. In the 2025 season, Williams achieved a 58.1% completion rate, throwing for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. He led the Bears to an 11-6 record, securing an NFC North title and their first playoff victory since 2010. The Standard Edition cover will feature his signature mid-air throw, while the Deluxe Edition will include his "Iceman" celebration and custom nail art. Williams, who will begin the game with a 90 overall rating, is the first Bears player ever to be on a Madden cover and the first quarterback since Josh Allen in Madden 24.
