Four years into the conflict in Ukraine, staggering figures highlight the human and material toll. Since 2022, an estimated 1.2 million Russian soldiers and 600,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed, wounded, or are missing. The civilian cost is also immense, with over 14,700 recorded deaths, including more than 740 children and 4,080 women, though these figures exclude Russian-occupied territories. Additionally, over 39,500 civilians have been injured, and 5.7 million Ukrainians have become refugees globally. Material losses are substantial, with Russia losing 4,331 tanks and Ukraine losing 1,386 tanks, alongside significant numbers of other military equipment. Ukraine's infrastructure, particularly its energy network, has been severely damaged, with over 93% of its energy infrastructure affected.
