The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has attached 23 properties across Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Mumbai in the multi-crore LUCC chit fund fraud case. According to officials, the attached properties are valued at around ₹25 crore and were seized under the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes (BUDS) Act. Six properties in Uttarakhand were attached via orders from the competent authority, while 16 in Uttar Pradesh and one in Mumbai were authorized by designated BUDS Act courts. The agency is in the process of obtaining formal attachment orders for the Mumbai property through the Uttarakhand authority.
