Censure du RN, Rachida Dati qui "s'accroche comme une bernique" : pourquoi le remaniement est-il repoussé ? 21.02.2026

The French government's planned cabinet reshuffle, initially slated for February 22, 2026, has been postponed until at least mid-next week due to a potential motion of censure from the Rassemblement National (RN) party. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu is awaiting the parliamentary discussion of this motion, which targets the country's energy roadmap, before proceeding with government changes. The delay is also influenced by the departure of at least three ministers: Rachida Dati, running for Paris mayor; Amélie de Montchalin, appointed to the Court of Auditors; and Charlotte Parmentier-Lecocq, returning to her deputy seat. Dati, in particular, is reportedly reluctant to leave her Culture Minister post, aiming to remain until the municipal elections on March 15.
