Central Bank reserves climb to US$ 49.5 billion, the highest amount in nearly seven years 07.07.2026

The reserves of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic reached US$ 49,536 million this Tuesday, marking the highest level since September 2019. This increase of US$ 1,246 million is attributed, according to economist Federico Filippini, to the inflow of a loan guaranteed by multilateral organizations. During the month of July, the entity has accumulated US$ 256 million through foreign exchange purchases, bringing the total to US$ 11,400 million so far this year under the management of Santiago Bausili. Concurrently, country risk showed a favorable trend, standing at 406 basis points after a 4.7% drop over the last five trading sessions in July. Although Minister Luis Caputo does not currently plan to issue global debt, the reduction in country risk is fundamental to facilitating future financing in international markets.
