A CGTP, liderada pelo secretário-geral Tiago Oliveira, contestou veementemente os dados divulgados pelo Governo sobre a greve geral de quarta-feira, 3 de junho, afirmando que várias fábricas e serviços encerraram totalmente em adesão à paralisação. Em conferência de imprensa, a CGTP detalhou casos de adesão total ou muito elevada em setores como encomendas (DS Smith, Saica, Schnellecke, Sovena), indústria alimentar (Bimbo, Cerealto), e em empresas como Exide (98%), Bosch (95%) e Cimpor (100%). No setor têxtil, destacaram-se a Mabera (99%) e a Tearfil (95%). Contrariando a Ministra do Trabalho, que citou dados da CIP indicando que "todas as fábricas estão a trabalhar", a CGTP reportou impactos significativos em hospitais privados (Lusíadas Amadora, CUF Sintra, Hospital da Luz Lisboa) e nos transportes (Carris com 98%, Transtejo/Soflusa com 85%), além de paralisações em autarquias.
