Chef von legendärem Motorrad-Hersteller spricht über Horrorvision: „Gesamten Grund zunichtemachen“ 23.02.2026

Ducati's North America CEO, Jason Chinnock, expressed concern that fully autonomous motorcycles could undermine the core appeal of riding, stating that the company builds "motorcycles, not mobility solutions" focused on joy and the riding experience. While acknowledging the safety benefits of modern electronic rider aids like traction control and ABS, which are already integrated into Ducati's 2026 models, Chinnock emphasized that technology should support, not replace, the driver's control. He contrasted this with the automotive industry's pursuit of autonomous vehicles, suggesting that for motorcycles, the future lies in connectivity and enhanced rider assistance rather than complete automation, a sentiment echoed by the German Motorcycle Association (BVDM) which sees the complete takeover of driving by technology as distant and fraught with uncertainty.
