A chicken rice hawker at Circuit Road Hawker Centre is demanding a public apology from former actor Huang Yiliang, who allegedly called her a "prostitute," a slang term for "chicken" in Mandarin. The alleged incident occurred about two to three weeks prior to May 7, 2026, when Huang, who opened a seafood stall next to hers in February 2026, reportedly stormed into her stall while she was serving a customer and berated her. The hawker claims Huang insulted her and her group of male friends. Huang, however, denies making any such remarks, stating that the online video is too short to show the full context and that he generally has good relations with his neighbors. Following the altercation, the hawker has installed CCTV at her stall and avoids interaction with Huang.
