A crew from the 16th Air Base of the Air Force successfully completed an emergency mission to transport a child to Germany. The C-27J Spartan military transport aircraft departed from "Vasil Levski" Airport in Sofia at 10:22 AM and arrived at Stuttgart Airport, where the patient was handed over for further treatment. The mission was carried out at the request of the Ministry of Health, with the crew consisting of Major Evgeni Zlatanov, Captain Boris Todorov, Captain Mitko Pergov, Senior Lieutenant Kamen Dimitrov, and nurse Maria Borisova. The aircraft returned to Bulgaria at 5:21 PM, completing the mission on schedule and in compliance with all safety standards. The C-27J Spartan is key for medical evacuations and humanitarian missions both in Bulgaria and internationally.
