Chile tendrá representación en el Mundial 2026: FIFA designó a Cristián Garay como árbitro 09.04.2026

La FIFA ha designado al árbitro chileno Cristián Garay para el Mundial de 2026, que se celebrará en Canadá, México y Estados Unidos. Garay estará acompañado por los árbitros asistentes Miguel Rocha y José Retamal, y Juan Lara como juez VAR, sumando cuatro representantes chilenos en el torneo. Esta designación marca el regreso de Chile a la representación arbitral en un Mundial después de doce años, desde Brasil 2014 con Enrique Osses. Roberto Tobar, presidente de la Comisión de Árbitros de Chile, destacó la importancia de este logro como confirmación del trabajo sostenido y serio en el arbitraje nacional.
