Chinese aerospace leaders engage industrial thrust 03.06.2026

China's commercial aerospace sector is advancing from technical validation to widespread application, driven by a surge in satellite mass production, in-orbit services, and reusable rocket technology, positioning the nation competitively in low-Earth orbit. In 2025, the sector achieved significant milestones, with 50 commercial launches constituting 54% of all Chinese space launches and 311 commercial satellites, or 84% of the national total, being deployed. The Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site notably supported nine missions, showcasing rapid turnaround capabilities. Furthermore, China has filed for an additional 203,000 satellites with the International Telecommunication Union, underscoring ambitious plans contingent on a robust domestic supply chain.
