Romania is bracing for severe weather as the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) activates a Code Yellow warning for atmospheric instability, torrential rain, and strong winds across most of the country. The warning is effective from 10:00 on Friday, July 3, until 10:00 on Saturday, July 4. On Friday, periods of instability are expected in Maramures, Transylvania, Moldavia, Oltenia, Muntenia, and Dobrogea, bringing torrential downpours, frequent lightning, and strengthening winds with gusts of 50 to 70 km/h. Small to medium-sized hail, measuring 1 to 3 cm, is also possible. Rainfall totals are forecast to reach 15 to 25 liters per square meter over short periods, with isolated areas receiving over 30 to 40 liters per square meter.
