Colombian navy says it shut down 30 drug labs, seized 2 tons of cocaine 9h ago

The Colombian navy announced on Friday the successful destruction of 30 drug trafficking laboratories and the seizure of over two tons of cocaine in the southern Pacific region. These operations also resulted in the confiscation of more than 3,700 gallons of smuggled fuel, aiming to disrupt illicit economies. During the cocaine seizure, three crew members were arrested, including two Ecuadorians. Separately, four individuals were captured in connection with the fuel seizure. These interdictions are intended to prevent cocaine from reaching international markets, underscoring Colombia's ongoing efforts to combat drug production, despite recent strains in relations with the U.S. over increased cocaine output.
