« Comme des coups de poignard »… Les vies brisées des victimes de complications après la pose d’un implant de hernie 22.02.2026

A growing number of individuals in France are experiencing severe complications following the implantation of polypropylene hernia prosthetics, leading to debilitating pain and a drastic reduction in quality of life. Lawyer Pierre Debuisson reports approximately 200 victims so far, with expectations of thousands more, as the French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety (ANSM) increased its surveillance in August 2024 due to a rise in patient reports. Victims, often young and healthy, describe symptoms like constant abdominal pain, nausea, and nerve-related issues, with some cases leading to immobility, inability to work, and even suicide, as exemplified by the tragic case of Michel Delcour. Marie-Faustine Michel, another victim, had her prosthetics successfully removed, experiencing immediate pain relief, highlighting the potential for catastrophic damage if implants are not addressed.
