Info Le ParisienUn corps sans tête ni membres découvert dans la Seine entre Boulogne et Meudon19 min 24.02.2026

On Tuesday afternoon, February 24th, a headless and limbless human torso was discovered floating in the Seine River between Boulogne-Billancourt and Meudon, near Rue de la Verrerie. Passersby alerted the police after noticing an unusual object on the water's surface. The specialized river brigade recovered the severely mutilated remains, which consisted only of the torso and upper thighs. The Nanterre public prosecutor's office confirmed the discovery of the dismembered corpse, emphasizing that investigations are in their very early stages. Medical examiners at the forensic institute will examine the body to determine the cause of death, whether mutilations occurred before or after death, and to aid in identifying the victim. Preliminary observations suggest the body has been in the river for a considerable, yet undetermined, period, and it is currently impossible to ascertain the victim's age or gender. The Departmental Judicial Police Service has been tasked with the investigation, which faces significant challenges due to the limited initial evidence.
