The Crown review into the catastrophic failure at Wellington's Moa Point sewage plant has been finalized but remains confidential, despite the interim report being due before July 1. Local Government Minister Simon Watts ordered the review on March 12, following the February 4 disaster that flooded the facility with a mixture of sewage and rainwater. The plant remains offline, with 70 million litres of untreated wastewater discharged daily off the south coast, totaling about 10.5 billion litres over 150 days.
