Cybercriminelen dreigen met lekken gestolen data Odido 23.02.2026

Cybercriminals, identified as the group Shinyhunters, are threatening to publish stolen data from telecom provider Odido on the dark web if a ransom of over one million euros is not paid by Thursday morning. The breach, which became public on February 12, compromised the personal information of 6.2 million Odido and Ben customers, including names, addresses, phone numbers, bank account details, and passport numbers. Shinyhunters claims to have accessed data from a total of 8 million customers and 21 million data records, and has previously been linked to data thefts from major companies like Ticketmaster, Microsoft, Jaguar, and Louis Vuitton. The hackers gained access by exploiting individual customer service employee accounts, obtaining login credentials through phishing emails.
