Cyprus offers condolences to Venezuela after earthquakes kill 164 25.06.2026

Cyprus issued a statement on Thursday expressing solidarity with Venezuela following two devastating earthquakes that struck the northern region, killing at least 164 people and causing extensive damage. The foreign ministry said it was “deeply shocked” by the loss of life and destruction, particularly in areas including the capital Caracas. The ministry reaffirmed that Cyprus is closely monitoring developments and stands ready to provide assistance where appropriate, adding: “Our thoughts are with the people of Venezuela at this difficult time.”
