Daling hypotheekrente komt op gang, staat op laagste punt sinds december 21.02.2026

Mortgage lenders have significantly lowered their interest rates in recent weeks, with thirty out of forty providers adjusting their tariffs, bringing them to the lowest point since mid-December. This trend, particularly noticeable in ten-year fixed-rate mortgages with NHG guarantees now at 3.74 percent, has spurred a clear increase in mortgage agreements, according to De Hypotheekshop. While annuity mortgages have seen the most substantial price drops, interest-free mortgages have benefited less. The stability in rates, attributed partly to the coalition agreement's reassurance and the typical spring adjustments ahead of Open House Day, contrasts with previous years where the NHG limit increase often immediately boosted applications. This recent surge in applications also aligns with the post-holiday period, a common time for increased mortgage activity.
