Daniel Bernaards - de Boer founded Dodgeball Eindhoven in April 2024 after realizing the competitive sport of dodgeball was not widely available for adults in his region. Dissatisfied with traditional gyms and finding walking insufficient for exercise, Bernaards - de Boer, who enjoyed dodgeball in school, decided to establish his own club. After a successful online recruitment drive, the club acquired official balls and began playing. Dodgeball Eindhoven, which plays with two teams of six and five balls, aims to bring people of all ages together through a sport with a low barrier to entry. The club is currently competing in the second division and will host an international tournament this weekend at Sporthal Frits Philips to raise awareness and attract new members, particularly women.
