Danish police find no proof drones caused Copenhagen Airport shutdown 25.06.2026

Danish police announced on Thursday that after a nine-month investigation, they found no concrete evidence proving that flying objects which shut down Copenhagen Airport in September 2025 were drones. The airport suspended flights on September 22 after objects were sighted in its airspace, and similar incidents shortly followed at other key airports and a Danish air force fighter jet base. Chief Police Inspector Soeren Thomassen stated that while investigators could not confirm drone activity, they could not rule it out either, and the investigation has been closed without identifying any suspects.
