Saint-Sulpice-la-Pointe, in the Tarn department, has inaugurated its third photovoltaic canopy installation on the Rue de la Loubatière parking lot, reinforcing its commitment to green energy. This new addition, developed by Ombrières d’Occitanie, joins existing canopies at the Moletrincade sports complex and the Henri Matisse school group. Collectively, these three installations boast a cumulative power of 677 kWc and are projected to produce 866 MWh annually, sufficient to meet the electricity needs of approximately 300 residents. Ombrières d’Occitanie has invested over one million euros in this project, covering construction, panel financing, grid connection, operation, and maintenance, underscoring the commune's strategy to integrate renewable energy with daily needs.
