Debris from downed drone damages catering establishment in Russian region 05.07.2026

In the Rostov region, a night drone attack on July 5 damaged facilities in four districts: Rodionovo-Nesvetaysky, Zavetinsky, Oktyabrsky, and Myasnikovsky. Governor Yuri Slyusar reported that in the Sovetsky district of Rostov, UAV debris damaged the glazing of a catering establishment. Despite the incident, there were no casualties and no fire occurred. According to data from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, air defense forces shot down 71 drones over Russian territory overnight. In parallel, other news reports state that Yuri Shevchuk's eldest son, Petr, is being sought by bailiffs due to a debt of 14,000 rubles; he resides in Argentina after moving from Georgia and Armenia.
