Deux hommes prétendent manger un chat pour faire des vues sur TikTok : ils sont convoqués devant la justice 24.02.2026

Two men from the Yonne region of France are facing legal consequences after posting a TikTok video that falsely depicted them eating a cat. The video, which showed a distressed cat in a bowl and a rabbit skull on a plate, prompted numerous complaints to the Pharos platform, a government service for reporting illegal online content. Authorities easily identified the suspects, who appeared in the footage. One man admitted to "going too far" with his provocations. Investigations confirmed that no cat was harmed or consumed; the skull was from a rabbit. The men are scheduled for a penal composition hearing in March, where they face potential penalties including a six-month ban on owning pets, a six-month social media ban, and an €800 fine.
