Data from the Communications Authority for October to December 2025 highlights Kenya's overwhelming dependence on mobile technology for internet access. Smartphones are the primary means of connectivity, accounting for an impressive 97.90% of all internet usage. Other devices play a much smaller role, with laptops representing 6.00%, smart TVs at 1.40%, and portable tablets and iPads at 0.80%. Desktop computers have the smallest share, contributing only 0.50%. This data underscores the dominance of mobile devices in Kenya's digital landscape, with the vast majority of users accessing the internet through handheld technology.
